Health: It's good to be healthy. It's good to desire health. It's good to be a responsible steward of your body... But, health can become an idol. For many clients I work with and women I meet, health presents an area of confusion. They have a hard time finding the line between "I need to be healthy" and "I'm pursuing a health idol to serve my body image idol." What's really good for our health? Being spiritually and mentally healthy first. This means that our physical health isn't the top priority above everything. It's interesting - I don't mention it in the show -but the number one contributor to almost all health issues is stress - which can be best fought by being spiritually and mentally healthy. Today's verse of the day talks about how truth and wisdom bring health to the whole body. Read it with me here: Proverbs 4:18 The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. 19 But the way of the wicked is like deep darkness; they do not know what makes them stumble. 20 My son, pay attention to what I say; turn your ear to my words. 21 Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; 22 for they are life to those who find them and health to one’s whole body.
