Oscar-nominated actor Mark Wahlberg is crediting his faith and his prayer life for his success, saying in a new interview they’re at the “forefront” of everything he does. Wahlberg has been open about his faith in recent years. He and actor Jonathan Roumie of The Chosen were featured in a Super Bowl ad this year for the Catholic prayer app Hallow, and two years ago, Wahlberg produced and starred in a passion project, Father Stu, that told the story of a Catholic priest who persevered in his faith as he developed a muscular disease. In Arthur the King, Wahlberg portrays an athlete, Mikael Lindnord, whose team is competing in a grueling adventure race in the Dominican Republic when they encounter a stray dog with major wounds. Wahlberg’s character instantly bonds with the dog, dubbed “Arthur,” but then faces a dilemma: If he helps the dog find a vet, he could lose the race. Michael Foust sits down with Rabbi Jason Sobel about his role as a consultant on 'The Chosen.' An author and leader within the Messianic Jewish movement says he converted from Judaism to Christianity after a friend helped open his eyes to Old Testament passages that prophesied the coming of Christ. Rabbi Jason Sobel, the author of Mysteries of the Messiah and multiple other books, told Christian Headlines he grew up in a Jewish home in the New York area but didn’t examine the Messianic prophecies until he was an adult. Sobel is well-known in the Messianic Jewish movement and serves as a consultant for the hit television series 'The Chosen.' He is the host of the TBN series 'The Chosen Unveiled.' His conversion, he said, began with a general dissatisfaction with life. TV personalities Willie and Korie Robertson discuss the inspiring film about Willie's parents, Phil and Kay Robertson. The children of Duck Dynasty patriarch Phil Robertson say an the movie about his spiritual transformation testifies to the power of the gospel. That film, The Blind, opened in theaters last September and followed the love story of Phil and Kay Robertson, his battle with alcoholism, and the struggles that nearly tore the family apart. Eventually, he found Jesus. It stars Aron Von Andrian as Phil Robertson and Amelia Eve as Kay Robertson. Jase Robertson, his son, was about 7 when his father underwent the transformation from an angry man to a man after God's heart. He says it was tough watching the film. Kingdom Story Company's new movie Ordinary Angels, set to release February 23, tells the true story of a hairdresser who rallies a community and a church to assist a widower whose young daughter is critically ill. Set in Louisville, Ky., during the 1990s, the film stars Alan Ritchson as the widower, Ed Schmitt, and two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank as the hairdresser, Sharon Stevens. "It's a miracle story," says producer Andy Erwin. The film, he said, "shows the gospel in action." "It puts kind of hands and feet to the gospel," he said. "This is just a great case study of how to get involved to do the next right thing as far as ministry, as far as outreach, as far as compassion towards people that are hurting in your community – you never know what somebody's going through next door. You never know what obstacles they're facing. And sometimes we stay so busy, especially in church culture, that we never slow down enough to figure out what, what's going on, and how can I help? I think this movie really shows a person that was willing to do that for a stranger.
