4 Ways to Encourage Solid Community for Older Kids
You've probably heard the quote, "Show me your 5 closest friends and I'll show you your future." I'm not sure who originally said that, but there's some truth in it. It takes an awfully strong personality and character to resist the flow, especially when the flow is carrying those closest to you, and as our children get older, it becomes harder and harder for us to control their friendships. I can tell you what kind of friends I hope my children will choose, but frankly, gone are the days when I can set up a playdate filled with children from good homes whose families will be a good influence on mine.
On today's show, we're going over four ways we can continue to encourage solid community for our older kids. Today's show is brought to you by our newest Prayer Guide, Praying God's Word for Your Adult Children, by Gina L. Smith. This resource is designed to help you know exactly what to pray for your children, empowering and equipping you in a season where most parents feel a sense of loss, and lack of purpose. If you want to find more joy, direction, and peace in this sometimes difficult season, this resource is for you.LINKS:
