A Prayer for the Key to Joy
A prayer based on Matthew 25:21
All my boys grumbled as I called them downstairs. How dare I ask them to help sort the enormous pile of clean laundry? It wasn't like they had put the pile in the middle of the floor. Instead of forcing them to get moving or yelling at them, I reminded them that daddy put the laundry on the floor and was planning to fold it later.
Wouldn't it be such a fun surprise for him if we put it away before he gets home from his job? I hinted.
Have you ever had a time where you were grumbling about something, but discovered once you began to serve that it brought you a surprising amount of joy? Why do you think God created our souls this way? Why do we often fight against it? Listen to today's podcast episode from Christie Thomas.
