Call me crazy, but I certainly never thought I’d open a book for weary moms with the words, "Beer and Cigarettes," and yet, there they are, right at the beginning of Unraveled, chapter 1.

In fact, chapters 1 and 2 of Unraveled are very vulnerable and share moments of my motherhood that most people would rather hide. I won't lie. My own parents asked me why in the WORLD I wanted to write my stories down on paper, permanently, for all the world to see!

Sometimes, it does feel really vulnerable to have done this. But hiding behind pride, and then finally learning to embrace weaknesses, and giving them a proper biblical perspective is a HUGE piece of my story. Understanding their purpose, why God allows weaknesses, and even how to use them for His glory changed the way I looked at life, and even how I approached relationships outside of my family.

Today, on the podcast Stacey Thacker and I are getting real about the role of weakness in motherhood. This one is going to change the way you look at things. Promise.
