Befriending and Blessing Our Brokenness
Today’s episode is part three of a series The Story of Our Bodies. We are looking at the process of befriending and blessing the brokenness that cannot be denied. We discuss the danger of black-and-white perspectives of spirituality which do not account for the complexity and coexistence held within our stories. With the help of Henri Nouwen’s wisdom, we will walk through the practices of befriending pain and placing the whole story back under the blessing. Finally, we discuss simple exercises for increasing embodied living that reclaim our belovedness. As Henri Nouwen so beautifully puts it, “We are chosen, blessed, broken, so that we may be given.”
