This week on the podcast we are kicking off a new series on self-awareness and its importance in our spiritual formation. We will dive into the importance of self-knowledge as an integral part of knowing and being known by God. In this introduction of the series, we will explore the consequences of leaving the self out of Christianity and discuss the difference between cognitive knowledge and embodied experience that transforms our self-perception and our spiritual development.

Grounded in Scripture, we will anchor our study in the development of knowing and being known in each part of our whole self: Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength. Additionally, we will begin this exploration with simple self-reflection and medications from scripture to increase our self-understanding and resource our imaginations.
