Laura Osnes Talks Broadway Dreams, Overcoming Cancel Culture, and Healing Through Music
Laura Osnes has had a Broadway career that played out like a fairytale. After growing up in a simple suburb in Minnesota, at just 21 years old Laura won NBC’s reality competition Grease: You’re the One I Want! That led to a stint on Broadway that included roles in Grease, South Pacific, Bonnie and Clyde and Cinderella. She even took home two Tony award nominations.
Recently, Laura and her husband relocated from New York to Nashville, where she’s currently appearing in a production on Nashville’s Broadway. She also released the first of a two part EP, On the Other Side, Pt 1.
On this unique episode of Trevor Talks, you’ll get to hear from the Broadway star about owning who you are and being patient in pursuing your dreams. Laura also shares about surviving cancel culture and rebuilding a life full of the things that truly matter most to her — and how her new music has been integral to that healing journey.
