The Cure for a Fidgety Spirit
When life feels overwhelming, and your mind won’t quiet down, Psalm 46:10 offers a profound invitation: “Be still, and know that I am God.” For those of us with restless spirits, learning to let go and trust God can feel like a battle—but it’s a fight worth surrendering. Discover how embracing stillness and releasing control can bring peace, rest, and the comforting presence of Jesus to your sleepless nights. - Michelle Treacy
YOUR NIGHTLY PRAYER
Father,
When night time comes, Lord and I can not fight and distract my mind with my to-do list, my job, my children, and my chores, and my mind becomes fidgety; I ask you to come and remind me to Be still. Not to lie here and do nothing, contemplating all the things I cannot fix and battles I am drowning in. But to lay down my need to fix everything and to trust you to be God. To lay down my need to fight for myself and entrust you with my circumstances, my problems, my needs, knowing you are faithful. Father God, you are my peace, you are my hope, you are my stronghold, and as this Psalm begins, you are my refuge and strength; help me this night to find my home and my safety in you.
In Jesus name,
Amen.
